Precision Health Assessment

Go Beyond a Standard Executive Physical

Our flagship Precision Health Assessment is an unparalleled deep dive into your current health, risks, and longevity trajectory. In addition to taking a detailed history and performing a physical exam, we use gold-standard diagnostics to discover your body composition, bone density, liver health, oxygen utilization capacity (VO2 max), resting metabolic rate, insulin sensitivity, hormone levels, vitamin levels, advanced lipid profile, inflammatory markers, and more. This is far beyond what is tested in a typical annual physical or even standard executive physicals.

When issues and opportunities are discovered early, we can intervene at the best possible time — now. The assessment concludes with a written report detailing all of your findings, what they mean, and a personalized plan to optimize your health and extend your healthspan — the number of years you live in good quality of health, generally unencumbered by disease, frailty, or disability. If medical intervention is advised, specific details will be provided, and you can either take your plan to your doctor or work with Dr. Abendroth to implement it by joining our best-in-class concierge membership program.

What’s Included

Information Gathering

You’ll fill out a detailed intake form so we can learn about your medical and surgical history, as well as your family history and any health concerns you may have.

Advanced Blood Work

Unless you've been to an advanced longevity clinic before, this will be the most comprehensive blood work you have ever had done. Our base lab panel was carefully curated by our triple board-certified physician, Dr. Matthew Abendroth. It includes all the basics you would expect, like complete blood count, liver enzymes, electrolytes, etc, but also a comprehensive hormone assessment, advanced lipid and cholesterol synthesis pathway assessment, fatty acid profile, Omega-3 cell membrane content, insulin sensitivity markers, inflammatory markers, oxidation markers, and more.

Fibroscan Liver Elastography

This painless, non-invasive test uses ultrasound and vibration and is the gold standard for detecting liver fat and scarring. There is an epidemic of fatty liver disease in America affecting 30-42% of adults. The vast majority are unaware of it. Fatty liver has become the leading cause of liver failure, having overtaken alcohol. Your liver is critical to every other system in your body, from the quality of your skin to the functioning of your brain. If discovered early, we can completely reverse fatty liver and even early fibrosis.

DEXA Body Composition Scan

The Gold Standard in body composition analysis. This whole-body scan uses DEXA technology to determine the proportions of bone, fat, and lean mass in your body, far more precisely than InBody or BIA. Perhaps most importantly, it tells us how much dangerous visceral abdominal fat you have and how much muscle mass you have, two factors that are key to metabolic health and longevity. Of course, it also tells us the number everyone wants to know but isn’t as crucial as visceral fat or muscle mass: total body fat.

DEXA Bone Density Scan

Typically only covered by insurance after the age of 60, when you may already have osteoporosis, we do a DEXA scan in the office during your appointment. This is the only way to find out your bone density. It is astonishing how many young people have low bone density, and there are actions you can take to improve it. Dr. Abendroth diagnosed his own osteoporosis at age 38 and has reversed the trend of bone loss — something he never would have uncovered without DEXA, until a life-altering fracture gave the first clue.

Physical Testing

In addition to VO2 max, we test several metrics of physical performance such as balance and grip strength. Grip strength serves as a proxy for overall strength and is correlated with longevity; balance decreases with age, results in falls and injuries, and can be trained.

EKG

This heart test is used to establish a baseline upon which to compare future EKG’s, and also to detect arythmias and other heart problems

VO2 Max Testing

VO2 Max is a measure of the maximum amount of oxygen your body can utilize in one minute. It goes down as you age, and it’s loss is responsible for decreasing capacity for physical activity with aging. Your VO2 Max is among the best predictors of your remaining healthspan and is tightly correlated with longevity. Fortunately, it can be improved with proper training. The VO2 max test is conducted on a bicycle ergometer while wearing a mask that measures the gases you breathe out. We can see exactly how you compare with age- and sex-matched peers, where your trajectory is headed, and, most importantly, exactly what you can do to improve it. The test provides more information than just VO2 max, including anaerobic threshold, Zone 2, maximal heart rate, and more, which are used to create a personalized fitness plan designed to increase your VO2 Max so you can live longer, better.

Additional Optional Add-ons

  • Screen for over 50 types of cancers including pancreatic, ovarian, lung, and many more with GRAIL blood-based cancer testing

  • Detail the health of each coronary artery with Cleerly CTA to get the best picture of your cardiovascular health

  • Turn over every stone and ensure your health with whole body MRI imaging at our partner, Innovative Radiology, where we can detect hidden cancers, aneurysms, and more.

  • Get advanced breast cancer screening also available through Innovative Radiology — and not available anywhere else in the state.

  • Targeted genetic testing, like ApoE allele testing, to stratify Alzheimer’s risk and adjust intensity of intervention

  • Additional labs not included in the base labs, like Anti-Müllerian Hormone (ovarian reserve), DUTCH urine hormone metabolite testing, KBMO food sensitivity testing, stool microbiome testing, and many more, are available, depending on your needs.

Your Executive Health Report

The assessment concludes with a comprehensive Executive Health Report prepared by Dr. Abendroth, detailing your test results and physiological findings. It provides a thorough interpretation of your current health status, risk profile, and trajectory. The report synthesizes that information into specific, evidence-based, personalized, actionable recommendations and medical advice tailored to your needs and preferences, covering nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, hormones, supplements, medications, and other key interventions designed to help you reduce risk and optimize long-term vitality & performance. If further evaluation or referrals are suggested, that will be discussed as well.
